Using appropriate models, epidemiological research conducted to assess the distributions and determinants of injuries can assist us in designing preventive programs appropriate for Malaysians especially children and adolescents. This article will discuss some of the problems encountered in conducting injury-related epidemiological research especially those which tries to use routinely collected data from the health facilities in this country. | | | | Keyword: accidents, injuries, children, epidemiological methods |
